Learning Intentions:
1. Use (metric) units to accurately measure length, area and volume
2. Calculate area, perimeter and volume of shapes using the lengths of the sides
3. Organise your learning time well

Perimeter tasks (Choose at least 1 task)

Area, Perimeter and Volume tasks (Choose at least 2 tasks)
1. Perimeter, Area and Volume – HERE You will need to choose the level of activity that mtches with what you are doing. Some good opportunities for challenging yourself here!**
2. Using Lego Digital Designer create different 10 volume examples, save to a folder on your desktop – email to me. You need to be able to say what the volume of each shape is.**

You have to do one of the tasks with an ** and hand in to me as an assessment task please….OR ….If you have your own idea for how you can show me you understand the ideas we have been learning about please talk to me about it. I am more than happy for you to design your own! You could create a model, use Google Sketchup or Lego software, make a poster …. Be creative and remember you are trying to show you understand the concepts in the Learning Intentions above.
There are 8 activities to complete as a minimum. You are encouraged to do more than this. We will be puting together the assessment criteria for this unit together … so keep looking on this page.
Each day in maths there will be having opportunities to work independently, collaboratively and with Me (I-C-T). If you are not sure at ANY time please ask – I am here to help!!
